Transtop Roof Issue

Hi guys. I recently had a problem with my roof tilter cogs since they were damaged and I changed them with band new ones. Now the problem is that when the roof is manually placed by hand, the middle rotation handle does not go into the 'Lock' section in order to start the procedure. It seems that it is forcing me not to. Any help please? Thanks in advance
