Back in a Del Sol

Postby beecee » Mon Oct 20, 2014 10:58 pm

Hi all , its been about five years since i sold my Sol and bought a Honda Beat , but ive just sold the Beat and now have another Sol , a 1996 Vti TT in Cypress Green , its bog standard and was owned by a nice lady for the last 8 years since it was imported from Japland , i plan to keep this more of a looker than a goer as ive still got my B18C-R CRX MK2 .
So ive ordered some Eibach springs to drop it over the !7" Borbet alloys , 17s ... i know i know... anyhoo it looks good so im happy , i also just picked up a set of s2000 black full leather seats , need a little tidying up but overall are in great condition.

pretty sure theres a considerable amount that have been broken over the last 5 years ! I know they were targetted by some of the 16v mini converters as they were a cheap way to get a complete b16 conversion.

Think theres just not a great deal of them around anymore

yeh man numbers have dwindled, but it makes us a rarer species! Also there are a couple of facebook groups that have inevitably taken away some traffic :(

Facebookers just want spoon feeding bullsh1t, forums build better and more helpful communities!

Very rarely see any Sols around here now, can drive around all day generally and not see any.

nice sol. Bloody right about never seeing them anymore, where I live (Eyemouth, Scottish borders), I travel a good 40 mile north and south every other week and I went on Holiday to Loch Ness back in the summer, didn't see a single Sol.

In the past year I have physically seen 2 Del Sol and 1 of those was being broken and I went to buy a couple of parts :D
