wheels.

Hi,
I would like to fit Accord wheels to my crx, is this possible ? I want to keep the original tyres, ie no low profile,
How much will this effect the gearing, speedo , and odometer,
The reason I want to do this is to raise the car, yes I know everyone else wants to lower del sols , but I like to be different, its not a whim ive just had a knee operation, so the theory is it will be easier to get in and out of my car.

No, the Accords have a 4x114 stud pattern (or 5x114 for the newer ones) so they wont be a direct fit I'm afraid.
The only way to do it would be a hub conversion.

What size were the wheels you wanted to put on the car?
You should be able to get a 16" wheel from a base spec EP Civic, which would still be 4x100

Hi ,
16" wheels would be great, what era is a ep civic ? I have a jap parts near me in Stockton , so that would be my first port of call .
Thanks for your help.
Ps another issue you may be able to help me with, a friend likes my car so much he's planning to get one, the car hes interested in has a non working elec roof , is it feasable to run the car like this just manually taking the roof down, or steer clear .

yeh I'm sure it is fixable. You can still remove it manually but it is heavier than a normal manual roof. Use it as bargaining power to bring the price down, then fix it for cheap using the info on this forum

Thanks, Chris ,
I did a bit of research on here and found the piezoelectric alarm sounds and there is a fuel cut out , told my friend all this , he tackled the seller asking her does any of this happen when you drive it, as he would test it before buying it, she said she didn't know and would test it her self, alarm bells ringing big style, on phoning her the next night she told him it had been sold.so she knew this all along and hopes prospective buyers won't want a test drive with the roof down !
