I sent an email to any addresses I thought might be real - admin@, etc. but they don't list a contact email address and obviously it didn't go through. The only way you can contact them is by PM, which you can't get without an account, and the problem is in setting up an account - a classic Catch 22.

After I signed up I waited a few weeks, then signed up with a different address, then a different one and so on - one at hotmail, one at gmail and one which is my personal one on my own system (and obviously checking the spam mail in all of them). All of them got an error at basically the completed phase - I would show up as the newest user, but not get an email to confrim, so not be able to use my account. Have a look over there at the usernames boyband, boyband6666 and I think the other was related.

I have Virgin 10mbit cable, and Firefox 3. Maybe try setting up an account see if you have the same problem? To be honest the most likely culprit is an error with their mail server (hence it not sending mails), and not working - I am not being lazy or inept and not 'bothering' to check, it is a genuine problem and with a site that has no way of letting them know they have a problem, and I'm sure it isn't just me who couldn't sign up.

"Type R Owners Club" http://www.type-r-owners.co.uk

"Civic Type R Owners Club" http://www.civictype-r.co.uk/forum

I personally prefer the first one. It's a very open club and you don't have to own a Type R car to be a member as they have sections for all other Hondas. I would say that TRO is the friendlier of the 2. I find it quite humorous when you go into the FN2 part of CTRO, a banner appears at the top of the site with an automatic warning to people who would post that it's not as good as an EP3, as there have been so many posts saying the same thing.

On both of the above forums you will find a lot of Evo fanboys, but there's nothing wrong with that. That is pretty much the only slightly negative thing I would say about either forum, and I don't even feel that it's a criticism, because I would swap my EP3 for an Evo in a nanosecond.
