SRS twinloop axleback

Postby Andyjdm on Fri Dec 18, 2009 7:38 pm

This is just less than a year old and is a great system, however i'm changing it for a spoon n1.
Sounds great, quiet for normal driving and has an aggressive roar in vtec yet only emits 90db for track days (when fitted with the srs mid section, decat pipe and 4-2-1 manifold)
I'll be looking for £175 ono, can even fit it at no extra charge, postage may be arranged if required.
Located in Blandford Dorset (or Poole in Dorset for fitting)

Just out of interest mate - where you sourcing the Mugen one from - I know you've been after that for a little while now!? You have it already? How much you paid/paying for it if you don't mind my asking?

I haven't picked it up yet but i'm getting one from japperformance parts, it'll be off an integra so will need a small bit of work however i've offered up a dc2 system to the sol and it'll be a reasonably easy mod.
Price wise i forgot what they sell them for, around £500 iirc.

I know the feeling mate, i got rid of my S2 for this. I'm sure you could shift it quite easily though if you wanted something it ;)

Postage wise if i can find a big enough box for it i would, it would cost £20-25 delivery on top though.

There is a difference between the twinloop for the dc2 and the civics/del sol. The muffler is extra long so it will stick out alot mate! Just a little word of warning that it's not just the pipes from the tailbox to the B pipe.

Andy, The EK9 rear mugen twin loop will fit, you can then source a B Pipe and chop it to fit.

The price for the mugen sounds a lot, they are changing hand for the DC5 for £300 ish......... totaly quality system and quiet out of vtec. Good luck. I saw one on the EK9 forum a few weeks back for decent money around £300 for the full system.

From what i have seen the backbox itself is exactly the same on the ek9 and the teg it is simply the pipework which varies.
Japperformance prices are always a little on the high side but unfortuntely trying to find one else where isn't something i can do :(

Ok guys decided not to go to a mugen, i've done the twinloop quiet thing and i think i want to go back to abit more noise/performance now since i don't really use the car that much.
Going to be keeping the centre section so its now just the axleback twinloop for sale, £200 ono.
