Acquired Project del Sol.

Postby mark165 » Sun Feb 15, 2015 6:16 pm

Thought I'd say hello and do a little write up as I've got a couple of bits to get rid of and no doubt I'll have a few more questions to ask

I've acquired my brother's project as he went abroad to work. It's a 93 del sol ESI. It had a crack in the head and was overheating.

He bought it in a complete state from eBay and had it resprayed, but didn't quite get to finish it. It was too good to scrap so I bought a slightly different engine (D16Y8) and I am currently fettling it to get it running.

It fired up today, but unfortunately I have a massive oil leak from somewhere, which I now need to find.

Couple of pics from when I dropped the old one out:

Hello Mark :)

My first Sol was a Captiva ESi - got me well and truly hooked 8)

Without wanting to sound too geeky, that's a lovely clean, white, coolant header tank you have there - envious

I'll get back in my box.
