Del Sol 1.6 build

Postby James1491 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 10:37 am

Hi there everyone!

Got a CRX Del Sol im looking to do a build on over the winter/ spring time.

Couple of quieries. Suspension looking to lower it by 50mm all round and add front, rear upper and lower strut braces. Bigger brakes and tyres. Looking to give it a better exhaust system but not sure what works well on them. Also looking to extract more power from the 1.6 engine.

Any advice on these things would be appreciated so i can get buying parts for it. Any links to parts etc would be very useful also any tips on brake pads etc to use. Was looking to put prelude 2.2 brakes on it but not sure if i need to change the hubs to accomodate these.

Thanks

Best £ for £ mods you can do is the 282 brake upgrade and a bigger rear ARB, depending on which ARB you go for you might have to look at chassis braces as well. I've never had a problem using stock pads on 282 setup with braided lines\cylinder stopper, no point in throwing money away for no good reason, should consider doing the master cylinder as well.

A good set of semi slick tyres, full laser alignment, renew some bushes if they are bad or the car doesn't feel sharp. Basic weight saving, remove the spare\jack and anything else you can live without.

Do you have a VTi\SiR or ESi\VXi\VGi?
Did you know DSUK are on:
