B18c4 Del Sol VTI Project.

Postby wayner » Thu Dec 05, 2013 9:48 am

Bought myself a cheap Del Sol VTI a couple weeks ago from Gumtree off an old bloke who hadnt drove the car for 10 months since he had a stroke.
Very clean car with no rust and solid sills, has had a rear drivers arch fitted about 2 years ago but the paint on the rear is a slightly different colour to the rest of the car :(
Few mods to it which will be delt with straight away as they just minging.
I'm ripping out the B16 engine and dropping in a B20 :)

Car as i bought it.

Looks like a nice find, what sort of money did you get it for if you don't mind me asking.

I cant disclose the amount really, but ive sold the engine conversion out of it for more than i paid for the car :)
Its a solid car and well looked after by the old bloke who did have it.

Definitely got a bargain whatever you paid. Look forward to seeing what you do, sounds like you got big plans.

Any plans to build up the b18?
From what I've seen on here the B20s like to blow themselves apart

The rear of the car is showroom clean, looks great!

Finally got around to fitting the C4 engine & g/box, still need to fit the exhaust, shafts and linkage.
Only let down i have is i need a new starter motor as mine has gone and crap itself but that's sorted and should be here next week.

Need to get the cover painted and a set of Blue rad hoses and then she'll be all done.

Put the front end back on today, so now it looks like it supposed to again.
