Stay away from these, its a 5pc set and 2 hoses are wrong or require you to modify the stock cooling. Waiting to hear from them, given peoples experience with Tegiwa I'm not holding my breath. Top and bottom hoses and the thermostat to cabin hose look alright.

Tegiwa refunded a few quid for the hoses that didn't fit. I've had some fun with this and will hopefully be getting to the end of it tomorrow, car up to my standards and ready to go. Each and every bolt on the way to do cambelt was over torqued, pretty sure Honda did the last belt as its genuine, noticed some tipx on the crank cog (don't remember seeing this on any other B series engine) Clearly the guy couldn't see the line on the cog read a torque wrench either. Long and short of it the bolt is stipped and I've had to drop the front torque mount so I can get access to cut that sucker off tomorrow, popped into honda and ordered a new bolt and will grab some MTF for the box.

While the mounts were off I gave them all a coat of paint and they've come up well, have been meaning to get around to this for ages. Summer will probably be over by the time I get this fixed, thats how I feel at the moment as its been off the road for over a month! :)

On the plus side the head is so clean inside, virtually no wear on the camshafts and its just so clean inside so I've decided against changing these, I should only replace them for new shafts anything else is just not worthy. Never seen anything like it for a 20 year old engine!

Well its all back together, needs a fill and bleed of coolant. First impression of the clutch (without driving) is that it's going to be pretty savage, glad its not my daily!

I'm away this week but next Sat/Sunday it will be time for its first run since Japfest. Looking forward to it.

Shot of the inside of the rocker cover, its proper clean! One of the CV boots is on its way out but probably good for a while yet, just some superficial cracking on the surface. Cleaned up all the shafts and boots, wire brushed the crap off the end of the CV joints, they look like new now.

Setting the tension on a stock belt is just so easy on these.

So that's

New Clutch
Flywheel
Slave
Fresh mtf Fluid
Coolant hoses
Gear Oil
Fuel filter
Cambelt and tensioner
Water pump
Coolant
Alt belt
PS belt
Front mounts all painted
Driveshafts cleaned up
Earth's cleaned up
New plug o ring seals

That's all service items checked off my initial long list I think, confident she should be good for anything I can throw at her!

Still have a few bits and bobs to do before the next shows.

Need to sort out the CF front lip fitment, fit harness bar and get the cold air intake feed sorted, get some bits dipped, sort out the front number plate (remove the standard size plate surround and fit a naughty small import one) buy a carbon fibre rear garnish, winglets and canards, rear diffuser and rear upper brace.

Took the car out for the first time since Japfest today after bleeding the coolant, did some small jobs. Decided to tidy up the HT leads after I saw some banded together that looked better than the stock plastic holders.

First impressions of driving with the new clutch is that its pretty brutal, its either engaged or not, the pedal is pretty heavy but it bites well. Easy enough to drive with, be a bit of a pain in traffic. 500 mile bedding in period which reading online for 6 pucks its advised to adhere to so I'll be taking a few trips about in the sun this week to rack some mileage up before any track action! Certainly the car revs more free with teh flywheel, sounds good as the revs fly up when stationar, if you aren't quick shifting down the revs drop pretty quick but thats not a problem unless you have a stalling at idle issue.

Ordered my winglets, canards and carbon air duct intake for my track bumper. Also putting my CF front splitter on the stock bumper to complete the race look.

Did you go for universal canards? Very tempted myself but never know how well they match the contour of the bumper

Gone for EK ones in the hope they will loosly match, the contour is slightly steeper but they won't be far off. I've also got some CF sheeting coming if I need to be creative but they'll be riveted on and I have a test bumper if a practice is needed. Will probably be getting winglets for the rear as well as the rear diffuser of some kind next month.

So im about 150 miles in on the clutch bedding in, not giving it the full beans till 500. Seems to be going ok, nothing untoward going on yet!

Started to build my race bumper, its been a right ballache but getting there slowly. Got the winglets to fit and some random holes Honda put behind the UK plate mount but here we are!
Plan is to run a ramair flexible rubber hose to the bottom of the airbox and remove the resonator
