Bought some new alloys to replace the vauxhall ones haha, need the correct size tyre and a choice of colour then they will be on for good!

Thinking gun metal or a dark bronze kind of colour :)

I have addressed all the rust, there wasn't much and it was all under the plastic sills, I think it's just discoloured on the edge of the arch as it's been repaired before with some sort of filler :/ haha

Bought some "maxspeedingrods" coilovers, fully height and shock adjustable, fitted them in a grand total of 6 hours without a ramp haha

It's not been tracked yet, and I may need to raise it a bit as it's rubbing  I also bought a smooth cap blue front bumper for 99p! just need to find the time to pick it up. Other than that the car has a stainless exhaust now, pretty much identical to the standard one but not full of holes :P I've just received all the parts to swap out my cam seal and while the rocker is off, spray it wrinkle red.
I will get some more pictures soon!

Right so I fitted my Password JDM cam seal, no more leaks :) While the rocker was off I painted it, not the best of jobs but looks better than it did, looks much better in this picture than it does IRL
Image
cheeky picture when my bonnet was off, as said I shortened my CAI down to an SRI for winter and I think it will stay this way, prefer it TBH. The bonnet was being swapped out for a carbon one (fibre glass with carbon skin), which I got (for my birthday) haha, for £100 which was about the price I would have ended up paying for a new OEM one. I needed one because the edge of the bonnet was going rusty :P
Image
And fitted, took a while, de facing it by putting nozzle holes in! and drilling out the bonnet hinges so that we could adjust it to one side slightly for a better fit.
Currently rolling steelies with winter tyres as I was expecting winter to be more winter-ish, still too warm for them atm but can't be bothered to swap again.
I have some new alloys to fit when it warms up, gun metal 16's with 35 offset. will get photos :) so I will be getting rid of the silver ones pictured earlier in my thread.

Think that's about up to date, lets hear your thoughts :')

Been having terrible luck with parts for the sol still :(

New wheels...
Image
After having them in storage for months after buying them, I open them and realise the tyres have way less tread than stated and one needs flipping over, fine, i got it flipped, next I needed spigot rings, done, put them on finally annnnnnd a huge rumbling noise can be heard. All four tyres were mis-shapen  and one buckled alloy, fuming with peoples descriptions on eBay! as I had stored them for so long I'm outside of eBay guarantee, I did open one when I got them to check quality but obviously I couldn't tell about the tyres. Currently being "sorted" by customer service though its been a week and I've not heard anything.

Second, fitting new exhaust :)
Image
Brand new, for a del sol, from america, didn't fit... came up about 4 inches too short in the centre pipe, luckily I still had the scrap exhaust from earlier, so managed to sleeve some of that down the flange to get it to fit and not leak. The seller has said he will pay for a section to be welded in, but I will have to wait until after MOT, when the decat is back on, because the flange wouldn't mate up to the cat anyway

exhaust done;
Image

Also got a 4-2-1 manifold
Image
And there are more issues... I asked the seller what the diameter of the collector was and I was told 2.25" but I got it and it was 1.9" :( however I got it for £90 new and got a further £20 knocked off for the issue, I can't complain about the manifold too much, It's made the car more drivable around 2-4k revs, just it scrapes on almost everything!

Oh I also have a steering wheel and boss kit fitted, put it on what we thought was straight, nope... slightly off but the boss kit is well and truly stuck on! tried everything from pullers to slide hammers!

So she's turning into a real money pit, nothing but problems with after market parts! Feel bad to just be complaining on my thread haha, but I still love it :D

Door protection parking at its finest haha

I can only assume at some point during the night I was visited by a whole gaggle of geese
ImageImage

Sorted new tyres, went for Falken ze914 and as far as I know ebay sorted nothing and the seller was allowed to get away with what they did!
Image

Picked up a set of mud flaps for £25 and they're on now, my rear bumper sort of fell off in the process as the metal it screws on to had rusted away completely
And a set of cap blue number plate fillers are on the way, also for £25 which I thought was very cheap!
