has been stood for the last 18 months or so just occasionaly moved to free up the brakes etc ..aparantly the clutch is biting very late .. so my first question is ... are they adjustable or is it a new clutch kit that is needed and they range from £60 to 200 is the cheaper one a one to avoid or is a clutch just a clutch after all ...

Looks nice in white.

Check the master and slave cylinder for leaking fluid. Clutch isnt adjustable.

Id go for an exedy or similar with clutch. Its a good few hours work to change a clutch so you dont really want to go cheap and end up having to do it again. Give me a shout if you need any odds and ends as im breaking a vti at the moment

well the fun begins .... started yesterday cleaning interior ... pulled it all out to give it a wipe and then set about hoovering and washing carpets .... look lovely and clean now so im happy ..few quid lying in the hidden holes made me chuckle ...swapping seats from wilma into betty as hers are a bit old and poor ....
have to replace all speakers again as they still honda originals    and some arent wired in either but i can mange that ..
managed to fix central locking as that was broken .. and thought id best see what was lurking under the plastic sill trims
over all im not to shocked by them ...was expecting a lot worse ..they have been attacked in the past with fibre glass so will last a little longer yet till i can afford a proper fix ....

ok firstly thanks to skitz for the advice he gave me regarding the clutch and what to do ...bought the easybleed kit from halfords ...was easy when i found out how to do it properly ...
openeing the nipple to much is not a good idea
but it seems it let all the air and some dirty old fluid out and so i have now bled the clutch and it seems to work again ...
but still seems to bite a bit later than wilmas will know more when had it out for a burn ...
seems a while away yet as want to do all the things it needs before taxing her ...
next going to maybe try bleeding the brakes as its the same principle from what i can see although i know not to depress the pedal all way to floor as been doing a little reading on the matter :? :?

then as it was raining i tried the heaters only to find they not working ..so looked under bonnet and see the 30 amp fuse has blown in there so will replace that when i get a min ...
ordered some new plugs and a engine flush as the oil in her must be years old as when it warms up it stinks ...not a very nice smell at all so looking forward to doing that ...
want to jack it up over weekend and have a good look under and at the brakes etc as at work now to much till sunday ....

the progress will continue ....

If you can pop to halfords get a one man bleed kit , like this

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_255218

Theses a ball in the end to stop the fiuld and air going back so just put it on and pump the pedal no locking on the off and you press pedal and all the crap, I couldn't get a good clutch pedal then used that and worked straight away

well managed to wire in all my speakers today and swapped wheels over from wilma ... attacked the rear spoiler as it was loose only to find it is beyond repair so have stuck on my blue one for the min ... the brakes will need doing very soon so i dont think she will be moving far this year as it isnt taxed at min so may aswell use the summer time we have left to do the jobs that need doing whilst i was at it i came across this ....
Image

looks very worn to me the other side seems fine though ...

Image

can some one tell me what it is called and how big a job it is to replace please as it doesnt look to good to me ... am going to be getting all the bushes replaced soon as the anti roll bar ones were an advisory on the mot so may aswell do the lot whilst im at it ...seems the sensible thing to do ...

temporary blue spoiler and wilmas old wheels
