Yes 2 months after selling my beloved sol i am back with another which means another project thread!
Welcome Rattles!
I picked her up a few weeks ago, she is a 1992 JDM sir, but strangely doesnt have many of the JDM extras but she has come with a few nice mods Skunk2 catback exhaust system DC Sports 4-1 exhaust manifold, aem long arm air intake, skunk2 weighted gearknob, uprated speakers, Coilovers and only 65k on the clock with lots of paper work to prove. Unfortunately when i went to view it, i poked a hole in it....literally!!! It has got some rust around the arches but its not too bad so we will be dealing with it shortly She had a few little broken bits here and there so i went and picked a load of parts up
So here she is when i first bought her


Urgently need a new bonnet!!!


First few things i sorted out were the glovebox, drivers handle, and rear spoiler

I quite like the De-spoilered look!!


These bits are all replaced now, so i started work on the interior! I got some black vinyl spray and have started spraying the grey interior parts black, so far I've done the door cards, roof and started the rear speaker trim and middle bit...but ran outta spray so there is more on the way lol

I also started work with the colour coding, this time i chose pink and glitter

The strut brace and a few other lil bits are all pinked up and nearly ready to go back on aswel
And as many of you already know the coilovers that were fitted meant I couldn't actually get on my drive so i got some Teg shocks, 50mm lowering springs and teg LCAs, these are fitted now with my boyfriends white 17"s, until my alloys are rubbed down and re sprayed...yeah you guessed it PINK!!!
We only finished the suspension today so i havnt taken any pics yet, but whilst we are working on her i decided to wash the boot carpets....which was when i found this...


So even more welding to do!! We are hoping to make a start this weekend depending on the weather My S2000 seats are on the way and hopefully should be here by the end of the week aswel

Looking good so far Rachel, i now see why you want PINK wheels..

No doubt a few Bargin buys will be made to bring "Rattles" up to scratch, i don't hold out much hope with the weather though..

haha yeah already started the bargain hunting! the glovebox, door handle, spoiler, teg lcas, teg shocks and nearly new lowering springs were only £160 altogether and just got a set of half leather s2k seats in pretty good condition for £185 plus the welding is being done my my boyfriend brother so that is virtually free
Rattles is very rattly hence the name lol

Awesome, you get to work straight away! Very interested in the vinyl spraying of the interior, not something i've ever thought of!

Great work so far! Im really starting to fall in love with black sols recently!

I have done the same with my vinyl - that vinyl spray works wonders!

Yeah im quite happy with the vinyl spray so far, its come out quite shiney which i didnt origionally want but its actually looking pretty cool!

Nice work Rach, can't wait to see those alloys in pink!

It was Plastikote....my new best friend lol I used Cilit bang and a sponge (rough side) to give em a good clean first them sprayed them with a few coats. One can did both door card gray bits, the middle section of the rear speaker panel and the roof and still have a lil bit left.
Its lasting quite nicely so far

Thanks for that, heard of a few people that have used it but never seen it in the flesh. Looks to be good stuff! Il rip my crappy retrim out and give this a try

You can get it in different colours but i thought id play it safe with black, a matt black would be more subtle and wud be a close match in my opinion

So a bit of an update!! We got the suspension done over the weekend so here are some pics of the finished product.... it has a pair of 17s alloys on atm whilst mine are being sorted so it looks a bit ott at the mo


and here are a few pics of my alloys which i have started stripping down and after a quick scrape, i have decided against pink and im going for white again but with a bit of glitter over the top.....not too much more like a shimmer but il get some pics up when they are finished

The pink Honda badges are a nice touch
