OK all i have some updates

fitted another new rad and a new thermostat and now the car doesn't leak! :) the strange thing is the car still takes an age to register warm on the dial and for the fan to kick in, the only time it shows at the normal warm level is after a good run and then left to tick over on the drive!? my old sol got warm within 20 minutes of used and stayed showing as warm on the dial, this one sits at just above the C° mark until stood? anyone know why that maybe????

also got the MOT'd and taxed so had the first run in it last night and found two issues!! :(

NEED HELP GUYS! fault 1 - Benny told me about this one - the engine mgmt light comes on at about 100kmph nothing happens to the car it just stays on and when i restart the car its not there, can anyone help with this? could it be becuase its reading in KMPH & not MPH (it doesn't appear to have a converter anywhere) Benny said he checked the code and it was the VSS sensor which i have now replaced so top stop before it happend but it has? if you know of any other places a converter chip/box can be placed can you let me know so i check theres not a faulty one anywhere.

fault 2 - The gear box is crunching when changing gear fast if i shift slow its fine but if its a fast shift it crunches into gear and i can feel it doing so via the gear stick!? Morf has said it could be the slave cylinder that requires bleeding? the clutch bite point has always been high and Benny did say it was like this from fitting the Stage1 or 2 clutch that is in it? - does that happen with higher rated clutches (i have never owned a car with one before?)?

Coilovers - tomorrow Ohlins off, Teshi's on :) rear arms free'd camber corrected - slave cylinder bled and if all that goes well i will be happy if it still crunches not good :( but ill work at it!!!

Again any help on the questions above it will be really appreciated guys & gals........

Get a code again for the cel light and go from there
Maybe the temp issue could be a temp sensor?
Have you replaced gearbox oil recently? Use mtf if you can it does help with crunching
My performance clutch is not high and no crunches. Be aware that 2nd into 3rd is the common problem with these i've heard especially if forced in quickly

Thanks Chris well last WK didn't go to get plan as I ended up in an ambulance but that's another long story so all the work above is still waiting to happen. I haven't changed the oil so that will be happening and so will the slave bleed to try and see if that cures the issue? The temp issue us very strange indeed the car runs superb just never gets warm lol everything is working fine and the performance is great I am loving it. I may end up just sending it to my friends garage as its taking more time than I wanted to complete and I have found out this week the front LCA bushes need replacing the front brakes are warped and my omp steering wheel is a fake lol so ordered a real one this time

seem as the sun was out today i have had some time to crack out the polish and see how the old girl would come up, so washed, dried, tcut, colour magic, polish and finally collinite.

here are the results but its safe to say a full respray is required and some extra work the car is stone chipped to fook n has more scratches than a pickie dodgem car and every panel has one or more dents in it! :( also the drivers door is rusted to fook at the bottom on the inside?...

ok so lots has gone on since the last update ive nearly scraped the car and had thoughts about torching it too! but in short i couldn't do either and it has now gone in for a full respray and all the 100's and 100's of dents and scratches sorting :)

i have also had the alarm and imob replaced and beef'd up as the old one was fkd! this also lead me to find that i had an earthing issue which was causing the car not to start! i have hopefully sorted that now!?! i have sorted the speedo out and fitted the converter! the old dials must have been for another dash type or something??? maybe they are for a UK VTI but they did not match the JDM KMPH image when removed? i also cleaned the seats and they came out like new :)

Mines in for simliar, however I'm not confident that much progress would have been made! Love it when you get the car back and its all fresh and painted.
