Finally some updates!
Had a fair few bits to finish up in order to get the car shifted to another garage as my folks sold their house.
Got the wheels back from powder coating and tyres fitted. Bolted them on the car, dropped it to the floor and the car wouldn't roll. Jacked the rear up to check the handbrake was working properly, which it was. Jacked the front up and found that I couldn't get the wheels to turn, checked it was definitely out of gear, which it was. Thinking I might be having an issue with the gearbox I decided to removed the driveshafts to at least get the car rolled onto the trailer, took the front wheels off and the brake discs turn freely
Turns out when i tightened the wheel the brake disc was being tightened against the caliper carrier
I read of people having to take 1-2mm off the caliper carriers of Prelude 282s to fit the thicker MG 4x100 discs so I bought the Prelude 282 discs and had them redrilled hoping to avoid this problem. So for now some M12 washers behind the brake disc was enough to get it rolling.
So this was the Del Sols first outing outside the garage in 2 1/2 years. And as you can see shes screaming out for some coilovers, fronts not to bad but the rear looks higher than stock
I thought I could get away with EG 35mm springs and shocks but I guess since there is no weight to the rear end of this thing I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get some coilovers, unless anyone can recommend a set of springs, will need to be at least 60mm by the looks of it.
I'm hoping to find a decent condition set of front wings in blue soon to replace the sticker bombing I attempted to cover up some serious rust, was a quick fix about a year ago but I think sticker bombing has been done to death now.
The car is now hidden away for a summer siesta, I'd love to finish it this year but theres just no room in the garage its currently in. My folks move into their new place in November so looking to put the finishing touches on her and have her ready for some track days next summer
Still left to do if any ones wandering:
Fit oil catch can
Fit window washer bottle
Modify caliper carriers
Sand powdercoat from the back of the alloys (face that meets the brake disc)
Buy and fit coilovers
Have geometry set up
Have downpipe fabricated and Spoon N1 fitted
Buy Hondata S300 and have it mapped
