So-oo??

Now a real enthusiast.....

Sorry to hear about your job's uncertainty. I jacked in a job last December (after 34 years of full time employment) and am still not working. SWMBO remains utterly unimpressed :|

UPDATE TIME!

back home and the work started! took the car out and even though it hadn't been running right damn it was fast! didn't get chance to drive it last time when i had the s80 gearbox put on! what a difference that makes.

the work started with the skunk2 ultra race manifold and TB. what a pain it was! seems simple but actually tricky and time consuming.
its booked in the tuners friday.

exhaust is being fitted tomorrow, can't get it up high enough on the driveway.

stressing now

Back from the garage and I'm so so disappointed and upset I just want to sell the thing and never worry about it again.

It's scraping again and it's impossible to drive around areas with speed bumps.
Throttle is catching and sticky which makes it lumpy and hard to drive

Good and bad news for people on here it's made 230.5bhp lol no one guessed that.

Only thing I can think to make its easier to drive is go from 15" wheels to 17" and to change throttle bodies from the pro series to the alpha series.

Sorry to hear that Dude... That's the only problem with high expectations ... I been there and done that.. Just chill for a bit and then decide how to sort the throttle out first.. Then either put bigger wheels on (17) as I had to do or jack the coil overs up a notch or two.. " Never give in... Never surrender "

Well it does look verrrrry low, my bro says new tires will help and give a little height because the Current tires are stretched.

Who was it who said recently about the skunk2 throttle bodies?

New problem now. Installing the skunk2 low profile cam washers and I've snapped off a bolt on the head.
How bad is it? Is it drive able with it like this? Does the head have to go to a machine shop to be sorted? FML

UPDATE TIME!!!

So my poor Sol has been sat on the driveway for a year. My bro did manage to sort out the snapped bolt in the cylinder head.

new alloys, :D rota subzero 17"
Image

these have helped raise the car a little. My old 15" Klutch sl1 are up for sale.

I managed to buy some HSD coilovers for a good price! hopefully get them on before i leave.
Image

the big problem i had with it not running right after the tuners. idling so bad and i didnt have time to sort it before shipping back to Dubai.
Image

I always assumed it was something to do with the iacv. despite being told it was a vac leak. well i found out the original box and found the iacv relocation plate fore the skunk2 ultra street series manifold. Big smile on my face thinking this could solve the issue. Well new years day and pissing with rain we put up the gazebo and got to work. few hours later we after fitting it. we started it up.

Worked! well sort of.... got a problem with a red pipe weve used connecting the iacv to the manifold is too thin and its kinking which is making it struggle. Easy fix though just need a thicker, stronger pipe.

With no MOT, Tax or insurance im going to drive it around the block tomorrow first time shes been driven in over a year.

I also have a full 282mm brake upgrade needing doing but dont know if ill have the time!
