Great job on your Delsol, looks really nice in white , if you'd gone for black ,you would have been washing every other day , cars in black look great when first cleaned, but after 2/3 days, it needs to be done again. My son just bought a 306 in black of epay , but will be washing it all the time!

Where did you get the bonnet scoop from , great mod , and actually does something. Also , the seats are perfect ! Where are they from?

Cheers mate! Well it was a choice of either black or white! Then I saw a s2000 in grand price white and liked it. The seats are from a s2000 also.
I got the bonnet scoop from eBay for like £20 just about to get all my engine work done now!

UPDATE!

Too much has happened since the last post ill try and carry on from where I left.

So last time I crashed on a newly surfaced road raining and oily smashed the curb and the alloys, skirt, wing and wishbone and off she gets toed.
Image
Image

New wheels rota gt3
Image

Then I decided to just get the engine work done complete b18c head with omni power springs and retainers and some twm itbs
Image

So off she went to the tuners. Then bad news hit me. The bottom end started knocking! I was gutted!
I needed a new bottom end but what? :D I decided to do the B20 vtec conversion! A long time later and much ££££ later it was ready! Made great power on a standard build. 220bhp :)

Then my life had an interesting twist! I got a job offer in Dubai! So off I went! Leaving my baby behind.

She sat on the driveway in the elements for 2 years. Sadly she was rotten when I came back for a holiday. Beyond my skill level or pocket depth to fix her. So I bought a new sol with better bodywork
A 1997 ESI TT in a custom paint job. (Amateur job, not too bad though)
Image
Image
Image

Love the alloys and how it's cambered, drive home from Coventry to Sheffield, and she drives and handles amazingly except only issue was the lack of power but that dint matter as the B20 was going in.

Got her back and had the ladies together. So the work started straight away. The plan was to swap over my jdm goodness from the old to the new.
Image

Changed the lights over.
Image

Then to the map lights, the wiring was a bitch lol some head scratching
Image
Image

Then the boring speaker change, oh I have black interior as well :)
Image
Image

Then bumper change and engine swap. I also opted for the ITR S80 4.7FD swap didn't want the long gears of the S9B.
But now having issues with the ground clearance.

I've also changed a few other parts including putting the Mugen bumper on. But I've now got even more issues. With the lower sitting bumper plus the extra weight of the B20 the car is waaaaay too low and making it undriveable around my area.

Here she is as I bought her, even this was too low, teeth gritting and anus clenching hearing it scrape on every speed bump.
Image

B20 dropped in.
Image

Mugen bumper fitted
Image
Image
Image

So she is sitting even lower now making it even worse. Sitting around 2"-3" from the ground.
Image
Image

So the car has coilovers which brand I don't know all I know is they need raising, but by how much? What's too much? Suspension is not my strong point. 20mm 30mm 40mm? 5 turns... Ect
And this leaves me to where it's at today!

UPDATE:

So I've now had the car raised and it is now drivable. I've also had the ITR s80 4.7FD gearbox fitted :) the s9b was killing the acceleration.

The only issue was that the gears were very slack and it was slipping out of gear all the time. It became a horrible drive. Luckily the issue was fairly simple that the gear linkage was broken. Now it shifts perfect :)

I need to upgrade the whole breathing mods. That's a must. But I did come across this and it got me feeling eager to do it.

Exciting times :) I've just ordered a PLM hytech replica 4-2-1 big tube tri-y exhaust manifold from the states and also got a 3" custom made exhaust system.

This should free up some ponies :)

Left to do for now
H22a fuel injectors
Updated fuel rail
Fuel pressure regulator
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Intake manifold edelbrook victor x if I find one
70mm throttle body prob skunk2

Then have a retune hopefully hit over 230bhp

Who would like to have a guess at what power it will make once all fitted and tuned at race tech?

Originally it made 219bhp one the old white sol.

Made 212bhp when transplanted into the new black sol. (Crappy exhaust&cat)

So currently making 212bhp on a moderate map.

I would like to see 230bhp when all done

But what are your thoughts I may include a cash prize to whoever gets its bang on!!

Ehhh??

Thought we tinkered these cars for our own pleasure. Don't be sad, don't care whether anybody else cares. Do it for the fun of it.

Keep posting stuff up - I'm watching with interest :D

PS: I think flock dash boards look as naff appealing as furry dice - jus' sayin'

Haha, yeah but it's more fun with on going debates Gaz.
Now you see I think a fully flocked dash is naff. Maybe something to break up all the blackness of faux leather.

Well I've bought a ton more of skunk2 stuff. Mainly just engine dress up.

Still need a 74mm pro series TB
AEM fuel rail and pressure regulator
Walbro 255 pump

On the look out so keep a look out also :)
