Transtop Help

Postby rockair8 » Thu Oct 01, 2015 4:23 pm

Hi All
Sorry if this has been asked before but being 73 it not easy trying to find my way around forum.
Just fitted new gears in tilter and ready to put back in car is there a sequence for setting it, the roof is fully in boot lid have not locked boot down totally as not sure how to open it if its locked.
Does the roof need to be fully open or fully closed any help will be much appreciated?
Thanks John

I'm not certain, but I would imagine that if the gears are aligned properly it shouldn't matter if the roof is up or down.

I daresay someone else can advise though.

Providing they are set correctly it should be fine, the ECU will know the roof is in the boot. And if the tilter cogs are positioned correctly and the tilter is down it should just carry on where it left off as the ECU won't know any difference
Did you know DSUK are on:

Transtop Update
OK guys the transtop is up and working really smooth and fairly quiet. So hopefully should get some use out of it.
I am sure I will be back shortly with more problems forgot, what it was like going back to a 20 year old car.
Thanks again for all your replies
