Fuel tank neck valve

Postby reeves123 » Wed Sep 23, 2015 2:53 pm

So a new del sol and new problems!
I went to fill up opened my fuel cap and underneath is a metal valve with a hole that is too small for the fuel gun nozzle to fit through. I have had to hold the valve open with a pen!
Is this fixable or do I have to replace the hole neck.

how random is that! Why would someone swap that out to be smaller? Or maybe I don't understand fully?

I do have a doner sol so I can swap them over, how tricky is the bolt under the rear bin to get to?

easy , rear bins are straight forward , pull off rear centre panel , unscrew speaker grills and pull out , take arm rest out , then the rear bins can unscrew and pull out about 5-10 max then one 10mm bolt on the filler pipe you will see on the base of the car
