Adding to a v old topic I know, but just for information....

if you have a friendly mechanic/engineer who is willing to dismantle your dizzy to change the bearing (takes a couple of hours - I watched it being done this afternoon) then the bearings are available from a company called Henderson Bearings who are based in Crow Arch Industrial Estate in Ringwood.

The bearing itself is a non standard size so be careful if getting from anywhere else (the hole in the middle is 12.5mm instead of the standard 12mm), but Hendersons just happen to make them on site for somebody (probably someone who recons del sol dizzys!) and were able to supply one there and then. Think it cost the grand sum of £12 but not sure if there were discounts involved in the price cos my friendly mechanic bought it not me :D

Anyway.......... hope this helps someone out :D

Edited to add that my del sol is a Vxi 1.5 auto

forgot to add, they also do refubed units and can also slupply you with your own refurb kit, which includes the igniter, coil pack, all the sensors and rotor arm and cap, oil seals...handy to have

Bear in mind that if you buy from Dizzy King then you'll probably get hammered with a £15-£20 charge for import tax (I've just paid mine!). Oh, and also the HONDATECH code no longer works, or at least it didn't when I entered it.

So no one has added anything to this thread for a while....

any recommendations for sourcing a distributer for a jdm, sir b16. A td44u i believe ? bba reman don't have any on the shelf but can repair. The cyp sensor is finished.... it's only 4 years old and has only done 24,000 miles in this time grrrrrrr, but i figure i may as well get a new one before the other sensors in there break too. E bay has 2 suppliers at 105 or 175 pounds though reviews of one of these suppliers suggests the parts are cheaper chinese copied parts and perhaps dont last long.

All suggestions welcome, thanks.

Well I don't want to jinx it, but my car must've done around 20-30,000 miles on the Dizzy King dizzy and so far so good. I got it around 3 years ago, hopefully I won't need another! I can't say how it would be compared to the others on offer, but it's worth bearing in mind the import tax etc.

I don't think Dizzy King are going anymore, but got one now, all fitted and working, fingers crossed.

and as I take a quick look at the old one I see the garage 4 years ago fitted the wrong one a td87 as opposed to 44, with the connector changed to fit, and I see the red dust in it. This distributor seems to be for an integra ? but it seemed to work, for a while.
