im just saying i would never buy oversea(and neither would prob ALL of my friends or family.) even if its same day delivery guaranteed if the price is the same as it is in the uk. i would if the price was cheaper. ive done alot of hunting, ive called 30+ places up in the uk for a dizzy and posted the cheapest in the uk. i would rather buy from the uk if the price is £120 then USA when the price there is £126. f*ck posting to help people in the future ffs.

don't take it so personally. i'm not having a go at your effort. personally, i think it's great you found 2 UK suppliers at roughly the same price as that overseas place.

with that sort of choice i would probably go for the UK place too just as it's more...'local'.

however, you've said (in capitals) not to buy from overseas as you've got 2 UK suppliers. what you have failed to mention is whether they are re-con dizzy's or brand new, what their warranty is or how good their customer care is.

UK dizzys have always been super expensive for hondas, dizzyking has obviously helped by sending items quickly and at a great price. if UK places are lowering their price while offering a competitive price then that's great. business rivalry is ideal for consumers.

dizzyking is very well known and as i said has awesome customer care, so with that in mind. i wouldn't state in a thread not to use them because YOU AND YOUR FAMILY prefer to buy from the UK. i know people who prefer to buy from the US or from europe, so what?

dizzyking offers brand new dizzys with a perfect warranty with great customer service.

if you're calling around has allowed other sol'ers the choice to shop overseas or locally in the UK, then that's great. but don't tell people not to use dizzyking.

what if they call your place up and get bad customer service or end up with a re-con dizzy because you told them to avoid the "highly recommended" dizzyking simply because they're over the pond?

give people the option but dont tell them where to buy from!

thats all

i forgot to mention. the only reason people have been paying the £200+ is because they needed a dizzy in the next day or 2 and couldn't afford to hang around for 7 days waiting for overseas dizzys to come.

dizzyking changed that by offering next day delivery.

seeing as the ones you have found are brand new with 2 years warranty...well, that's pretty good, but this comment...

J4G3D wrote:i would rather buy from the uk if the price is £120 then USA when the price there is £126.

seeing as the delivery time will be the same, and seeing as dizzyking come highly recommended on a multitude of honda forums, and seeing as dizzyking's dizzys have a lifetime warranty, i'd rather pay £6 more just for an unlimited warranty.

if it fails outside of the 2 year warranty someone will need to buy another one. costing them double what it would had they gone with the company that you said not to buy from because it's not worth the hassle to import it.

i really wasn't having a go at you, but sorry if that's how it seems.

And that really is the clincher. Some may argue that it's hard to call in a warranty from an overseas company, but if their service remains at the same level (they shipped me a replacement without waiting for the first one back) then there should be no issues. I don't want to cast aspersions on the uk companies, but why do they only offer 2 year warranty?

@cam i see, but from my point... i posted those 2 companys 1 up north and 1 down south for peopel who need the dizzy same day ie... picking it up (like i did) then it will save people a good £80+ as i did a search and saw people paying £200 to £250 and even saying they thought that was cheap.

i sure dizzy king are good i did actually email them and they replied instantly more or less and seem very friendly, i would buy from them as they have credit from members on forums but i would only buy if i couldnt get it same day in the uk.

lifetime warranty is good, i have to admit though mine has 2 years warranty but they didnt give me a reciept so how do i prove this?....'goes off to email them'

I know this is quite an old subject but I've been on to the Distributor king Website and the prices seem somewhat more than you have been talking about.
I need a dizzy for a SiR therefore presumably the TD44 and the site gives a price of $290 plus $60 for delivery. This works out at nearer £200 unless I've done my maths wrong.
Anybody know if they've put up their prices??

OK Cheers, I contacted them for a price and they came back with the same link you did, seems their store and ebay are set differently.

dzzy king offer the lifetime as they use uprated bearings and ignitour units that can take the heat of the engine ;)

imo they probably have the life span as a oem honda unit (90-120 thou miles for a uk car)

cheers

I needed a new distributor, and wanted to order one from Dizzy King but unfortunately the standard one for my VTi was out of stock. They did have some high perfomance ones available but they were quite a bit more expensive.

So being the cheeky madam that I am I emailed and asked if they could do anything on the price. I mentioned that I'd heard good things about them from here and they sent me a 10% discount code to pass on to everyone on the forum :D

So if you enter HONDATECH as a promotional code on their check out you'll get 10% off their already great prices!! Result!
