Since follks are so interested in the this I'll post the wiring for it as we have these stock. I will add some more pictures as I get time for the hole needed and the rubber plug that is included that goes through the panel on this. On to the pictures now:

As the first picture shows all the connections needed for this, the second shows where to put the ground wire at connector G551. Connector C417 goes to the brake pedal switch, as you can see they just tap into the wiring that runs to the rear brake lights in the rear storage boxes area by running it down the side pillar. As stated above I will adding the picture of the high brake light assembly and wiring from it to this for a How-To.

Any other question you may have just post them up and I'll try to answer them for you on this. Would hope this clears it up for everyone.

Yes, the Green/White goes to the Green/White wire to the rear brakes and the Black to ground. Just make sure you pad it where it goes through the metal on the panel so it doesn't short out on you. Using wire taps would be the easiest way to do this with, they just clamp onto the wire your tapping into and then you plug in your new wire.

I've done this and the upper drains today and I'm just going to add this little bit of information. I think it must be a difference between transtops and the manual roof because my car (manual) was different. If like me you don't have any of those screws to take the interior out, you'll need to remove the interior light cover, unscrew the light panel, unclip it and probably the plastic trim inside the car as well. I actually broke the clips on my light, so perhaps if someone could shed light on the best way to do this, that might help people in future.

Although it's for the upper drains, this link might help...

http://www.teamdelsolwa.com/howto/trunkleak.htm

And finally, here's a picture of where you can find the wiring for that high level brake light hiding. Hope it's of help to someone (it took me a while to find it!)

Actually in retrospect, it's not a very clear picture  But imagine the interior light is just out of the picture on the left and that might help :)

Ive had a 3rd light for ages but hasnt been fitted yet. Must be an easier way than tearing out the interior and breaking all the clips in the process... ??

All the pictures have expired, so how do you get the wiring through to the brake lights?
