Hi guys I am trying to remove the DS door card on a 1993 imported Sol, I have removed all the visible screws and the door release but the card seems to be held at the door pull handle! Thanks for any info John

There is one screw that is covered by a material covered plug under the door pull.

Thats how all the door handles all get broken  . The door rods have flappy plastic connectors, dont try and twist the handle through the door card as this will probably also break the fragile plastic handles and they cost a fair wack to replace.

Hi Both it was a case of left hand not knowing what the right hand hadn't done I thought I had removed the screw under the handle it came off fine

The Thatcham alarm went short circuit so I had to remove it! I am now fitting another! I want to make the doors function from the remote on the alarm "but" I cant see how to get the wires through to the door solenoid? it's a plug and socket in the door so no rout there!
Has anyone done this? everything else is working fine :)

Thanks,
John.

Can you cut the wire harness in the middle and then resolder the wires once they are routed. Crude, if all else fails...

Hi k3cj5555 the 5 wires have to go from the alarm unit to the door activator, I thought originally I could tap into the standard loom but the switching on the door activator is different! I have taken the door plug and socket off and I think with careful drilling because there are two pins not used there may be enough room to get the "4" wires through the 5th being an earth is not needed.

I want the car to look correct I have had it 20 years
Thanks
John.
