Here is a little guide to replacing the long standard throttle cable that comes on the VTI\SiR twin cam models. The standard Del Sol cable runs around the front of the bay like a lasso with many brackets and looks really untidy, in later B16 models this was revised and ran across the top of the intake and curled around (like on the EK VTi) This means you can use the parts as a direct swap. The part numbers required are as below:
17910-S01-G03 - Throttle cable
16411-P73-000 - Intake bracket
I got both of these parts from Tegiwa, H-Tune or Honda if you want to pay extra Looking at around £30-35 for both.
Other things you may need, a 2" L bracket, the revised bracket for the EK attaches to a slightly different part of the manifold, I used a 2" L bracket cut off one side at the first hole to brace and bolt up another bolt with a locking nut and spring washer so that you don't have just one bolt holding the bracket on (will take some pics of this). You might also like to get the other brackets to route the cable as per the EK and these should be available from Honda still. The EK has a bracket on top of the fuel filter and another off the brake booster hose.
Replacing the cable is straight forward enough, unbolt from the throttle body side create some slack and then unclip from the peddle. The firewall plug just twists and removes but you will need the rubber seal from it so don't lose it, when fitting the new cable this plug comes out at a different angle which is upwards and towards the intake so refitting is slightly different but all easy enough.
