New guide for fitting S2000 seats

Postby debsoo » Fri Apr 02, 2010 3:47 pm

Hi All ,

Just fitted some S2000 seats in my Del Sol , the the guide on the below link very helpful . It gives a step by step guide with pics at each stage , you really can't go wrong . The seats are being fitted in a prelude in link , but is exactly the same as a del sol .

http://preludeuk.forumup.com/viewtopic.php?t=14453

Took me about an hour first seat , and 30 mins second one .

Might be easier to use this link rather that the orginal one on this section , as i couldn't see pics on that one for some reason , might be age of post .

Good luck and enjoy your new seats

Just followed this guide to fit my seats this evening, and it's an absolute doddle.. I mean, a child could do it.. Only thing is, it's damn time consuming.. Took 2 hours to do the first seat, and an hour and a half to do the second.. Also, the seats sit about 3 inches higher at the front then when they were on the S2K pans, so just be aware - If you're rockin' a standard 380mm steering wheel, you'll be in trouble..

Wicked guide though, and really please with the totally OEM look and fitment.. 5 Stars

Hi mph ,

bet the most time consuming bit was the metal hog clips , they can be a pain with out the right type of pliers . I used the type with the bent up ends ( don't know their real name ) . But on the re-fit of seats on del sol seat pans , its alot easier , and just as good to use decent cable ties .

JGlad you found the guide helpful . thanks for the feed back
