japfest was a blast!

Postby solrider1985 » Sat May 16, 2015 9:56 pm

had a really good day at japfest today, starting to put names to faces e.t.c

as usual "wickhm" came up with the goods :) that man has EVERYTHING!

however I have fortified a belief of mine today and it is not the amount of cars a stand has its the quality and people that matter. there was not 1 under par car on our stand today every single one was in top nick

great day and I do need to get my ticket for jae!

nice work dsuk!

We're a dying breed and should all stick together, I overheard at least 3 groups of people saying where are all the Del Sols at?! True fact is they're aren't many left and even less of these are making it to shows.

It was a great day, shame the clutch broke but these things happen and I can honestly say I had every confidence in it performing well, totally unforseen.
Did you know DSUK are on:

yeh they are getting rarer and rarer these days. im sure within a few years the value will start going up as they are getting to that age now. we will see.

yeh was a shame but at least it got you home could of been a lot worse. still frustrating though but that's the joys of cars in general I guess.

Had a great time and as always got proper sun burnt. Big thanks to Jamie (glovermx) for sorting it all out and knowing he wouldn't be there to enjoy it! Luke's right we all need to stick together and DSUK offers the chance for this to happen and if we all make an effort to attend shows the delsol will not be a forgotten old Honda, as it deserves to be up there with the best.

I don't usually enjoy japfest as much as other shows (it's all very congested - not really a lot of space for such a massive amount of people) but the sun and the drifting - and ofcourse you guys certainly help to make it enjoyable

Bring on beauliue and JAE especially :) maybe we'll have more sols than other jap motors on our stand this year lol

Was a great show, weather helped. All the cars we had were tip top. Would be great to see more sol's under the dsuk flag. Just seen a pic from hondafest in Venlo, never seen so many sol's.
I think i'll definitely be making the trip to that one next year, maybe something to discuss a bit later in the year if anyone else is up for it.
Thanks to Jamie for organising and to everyone who turned up, look forward to seeing you all and hopefully more at Beaulieu.

Kenco, I think a fair few of us want to make the trip to hondafest next year - I will prob not do japfest if it's on the same weekend again. I reckon at least 4of us have said we'd do it so we could have an awesome little roadtrip/ convoy going!
